I have designed the curriculum to incorporate teacher lecture as well as independent at-home learning, pair/group work, individual and class participation, video instruction, use of the interactive smart board and class time to practice the mathematical concepts. This range of teaching methods is used to appeal to a variety of learning styles and allows for greater interest and retention of the subject’s material.
This discipline complements and expands the mathematical content and concepts of Algebra I and Geometry. Students who master Algebra II will gain experience with algebraic solutions of problems in various content areas, including the solution of systems of quadratic equations, logarithmic and exponential functions, and the complex number system.
