The Chess Club gives students an opportunity to play friendly games of chess against their peers in a low-stress environment. Students of all levels are welcome to come, as help is given to those who need it. Chess variants are sometimes played.

Chess Club also offers chess quizzes, chess puzzles and problems, sometimes with a prize for the winner!

Andover Chess Club also holds several intramural and inter-scholastic games, including a long-awaited game on Andover-Exeter day with Exeter Chess Club. Andover Chess Club will continue this annual chess game as a part of the long-standing Andover-Exeter Tradition
